Stacey [RGN, BSc, MSc] is an accomplished entrepreneur, healthcare professional, and leader in the field of nursing and digital health. As a co-founder and Chief Nursing Information Officer at Genome, she combines clinical expertise with a passion for innovation to drive transformative change in the healthcare sector.

In addition to her role at Genome, Stacey serves as the Chief Nursing Information Officer at one of the largest university hospitals in the UK.

Since 2017, she has held digital transformation positions in four NHS acute trusts, where she has spearheaded numerous initiatives to modernise healthcare delivery.

A staunch advocate for the integration of technology in nursing and midwifery, Stacey has consistently championed the adoption of digital solutions to enhance patient care, improve operational efficiency, and empower healthcare professionals. Her dedication to leveraging technology has not only transformed healthcare organisations but also delivered meaningful and measurable improvements in patient outcomes.

Stacey’s academic background, which includes a BSc and MSc, underscores her deep commitment to lifelong learning and professional excellence. Experience

Starting in 2007 and before transitioning to digital transformation, Stacey gained valuable clinical experience in diverse healthcare settings, such as the Emergency Department, medical wards, and the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement team. This practical experience has equipped her with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by frontline healthcare professionals.

Stacey’s commitment to advancing nursing and midwifery goes beyond her professional endeavours. She was honoured with a Florence Nightingale Foundation 2022 Digital Scholarship, a testament to her dedication to leveraging technology and entrepreneurship to enhance patient care.

As a nurse entrepreneur herself, Stacey is passionate about nurturing entrepreneurship and fostering innovation among nurses and midwives in the NHS. During her time as a Florence Nightingale Foundation Scholar, she delved into this topic and explored strategies to promote entrepreneurial spirit within the nursing community. Stacey’s dedication to empowering her colleagues extends to her participation in the Clinical Entrepreneur Programme for 2023.

In July 2023, Stacey was thrilled to become an elected member of the esteemed Digital Health CNIO Advisory Panel and then was voted to become Vice-Chair of the panel. Motivated by a passion for entrepreneurship and innovation, Stacey is committed to actively participating in the Advisory Panel’s initiatives, by lending her knowledge and insights, she strives to make a meaningful impact and further promote the vital connection between digital health, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
